These wonderous little morsels are making an appearance in our families daily food intake. They're the perfect snack food. I don't even have to limit the frequency in which little fingers dip into the bowl each day. No, instead I am hearing things like, "More kale please Momma,"- WHAT???!!!
So your dying to get your hands and lips on these tasty chips right? Great news... you don't have to wait, you can make them in your own home! You are just a trip to the garden away.
So without further adu......
"Cheezy" Renegade Kale Chips
3 Bunches organic kale ripped off stem
1 cup raw cashews (optional)
1 cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp Himilayan sea salt
2 Tbs Coconut oil melted
1 Tbs olive oil
1 Organic red/green pepper
1 Spicy Pepper of choice (dependant on your love of spicy factor)
Blend up all ingrediants (save the Kale) in a blender. Put kale on a baking dish and cover with sauce. Mix up the goopy mess together and spread evenly and pop into the oven for 2 hours or so at 200 degrees (or a dehydrator works but we simply cant wait ;) They're done when they are crispy and dry-
So when that uncontrollable urge for a cheezy chip washes over you and your batteling between the knowledge that tomorrow morning your going to have to look Tony Horton in the face (well at least in the screen) You can put a batch of these puppies in and chomp till your hearts content~ guilt free!
Warning; the first batch of chips was consumed in less than 20 minutes at my house! Be ready to be starred at by the grocery checker for the ungodly amounts of Kale purchased each week~
They may not look pretty but they are SUPER DELISH!
